My Mothers Garden
One Day workshop

Are you a thread queen who loves all those shiny glitzy metallics, rayons and mylar threads?? After taking this class
you will have learned a variety of easy ways to control those annoying threads without going nuts. Learn how to use your
machine as if it were a colored pencil and create a charming garden scene with leaves, flowers and a 3D thread painted Monarch
butterfly.
You will learn to embellish a simple raw edge appliqué picture. Learn shadowing and highlighting as well as how to make
a two sided thread painted butterfly.

Miniature Paintings

Have you got a favorite picture that you have taken??? Learn how to accent it with all those rayon and metallic threads
you have just had to buy because you loved the colors!
In this class you will produce a fabric framed thread painted picture of your choosing.
Learn how to make tiny mat frames to frame your painting and then add wider borders. Also learn how to have a neat back
everytime!! No judge will ever complain about your backs!

patriotic occasions!! Learn to create this cozy original flag jacket using the easy shadow chenille technique. Learn how
to add appliqués to your chenille and learn how to finish the edge of a chenille item.

wear this cozy, easy to make jacket. Get ready for the compliments as in "Did you make that? WOW!" This jacket is
a great way to use up all those buttons you just had to buy! A great jacket for that special child in your life, too! I bet

In this class you will learn how to make your jacket bloom the easy way. You will learn how to assemble it and how to
add raw edge appliques to it. And best of all how to make all those gorgeous raggedy edges. In the two day workshop you
should be able to go home with a completed jacket.

COLOR CLASSES

All of the following classes involve learning about color whether it is done with paint, dye or thread.

Painting Texture with Paint
One Day workshop
|
Learn to paint wonderful sky fabrics or water fabrics as well as leaf fabrics to name just a few. After taking this
class you will have a wide variety of textures to add to your fabric stash. This class is designed to teach students how
to paint with setacolor paint on cotton. Learning to control the paint will be emphasized. Among other things, we will cover
blending, layering, special effects such as use of pearl paints. Sunpainting with these paints is also an option. All of
these techniques may be used to create complex images like portraits or a fabulous skyscape.
